NAPC Leadership Accused of Abuse

On October 17, 2017, whistleblowers from among the NAPC officials reported (abuse by the Agency’s leadership during the verification of electronic declarations filed by top officials, as well as claimed there is political influence over the Agency’s work on the part of a Presidential Administration official. Pretrial investigation of the facts reported by whistleblowers is still ongoing. The Agency lost public trust, while international organizations and civil society representatives are insisting (on the need for restoring the NAPC’s confidence and reputation by means of a reload. The election of the NAPC’s three members in 2017-2018 (O. Seriohin, O. Manhul, and S. Patiuk) was non-transparent and did not affect the Agency’s effectiveness and independence in a positive manner.
